“It’s a…it’s a…it’s a….” she spluttered
dropping the packet of herbal tea. Mrs Blast
had been away for a couple of days and so
hadn’t heard about or seen Wilma.
“It’s an elephant!” said Poppy. “Don’t
worry She’s very friendly.”
Mrs Blast’s loud ahhhhh sound had
disturbed Wilma. Wilma didn’t know if a
sound like that meant it was a friend or an
enemy. She stood and stared at Mrs Blast
for a few seconds. Then she dipped her
trunk into the bucket of water that the
Brown’s had put out for her.
Wilma’s trunk slurped up a trunkful. But it
wasn’t a nice refreshing drink Wilma
wanted. Waving her trunk in Mrs Blast’s
