Suddenly Sammy heard a familiar voice. It was
Mum Squirrel. She was peeping into one end of the
log.
“What are you doing here, Sammy?” she said.
“I’ve been looking everywhere for you. Follow me
back to the tree.”
Sammy was so glad to see Mum. She gave him
a great big comforting hug.
Sammy followed Mum Squirrel back through the
branches until, at last, they were home again.
