Little Sammy Squirrel lived in a tree in Little

Chestnuts Wood. All of Sammy’s family and friends

lived in the tree. It was a very big tree.

But sometimes it didn’t feel big – it felt very

crowded.

One day Sammy was sitting on a branch near to

Mum Squirrel when suddenly a chestnut hit him on

the head.

“Oops! Sorry Sammy!” called out one of his

older sisters from the branch above.
