bungalow. I won’t be needing it anymore.”
Mr Snarling tut-tutted, tried to stand up,
said “ouch” and sat down again. Mr and
Mrs Young showed his mother their vacant
room which, like Gran’s, looked out over the
park. Then everyone sat down in the tv
room to install the fantastic wide-screen tv
which their latest resident had brought with
her.
“Now you’ll be able to watch your
favourite programmes again,” said Tom.
“Wonderful!” said Gran. “How very kind of
you to share it with us all, Mrs Snarling. The
tv repair man said the old one here was
beyond repair.”
