“Er, yes,” Jay nodded. “We have. How did
you …?”
“Are those...Pioneers…I mean….your new
friends?” Abby gasped.
Ella and the others seemed satisfied that
Abby was a friend and not an enemy.
Then they all sat and rested on the path.
Exhausted, they gulped down mouthfuls of
water and ate food from their rucksacks. They
shared what they had with Lewis and Abby.
Jay wanted to ask Abby how she had got into
the computer game. But Binny was too busy
asking questions of his own.
“So you and Jay had been travelling
together?”
Jay sighed. It seemed like Binny was back
to his usual suspicious self!
“Umm, yes,” Abby nodded.
