“We’ll think of something,” Poppy
promised. “You know we’re good at getting
ideas.”
Poppy was right. Tom wasn’t the only one
who was very good at getting ideas. They
all were. This time though, the Chicken
Street Gang needed a good idea really fast
or Mr Brown would lose his job.
Poppy was too busy thinking to notice
what her dad did next. But Billie noticed.
“Mr Brown!” she said. “Oh, I don’t …that’s
not…”
“Can’t chat now,” Mr Brown said. “I’ll take
some of this and have it for my supper later.
Smells very nice.”
“Yes…but, Mr Brown,” Billie tried again.
