The ball flicked into the water
and Gary threw himself to the ground
to grab it back.
“Yay!” the boys chorused again.
“Saved!” cheered Gary. “They’ve
won again.”
“Two nil?” added Josh.
“Ten nil!” corrected Gary. “Gary
and Josh!. These two are what
football is all about.”
They both collapsed in fits of
laughter.
But then something jolted them
back to reality. A jeering sound
seemed to be coming from
somewhere. Well, so what if anyone
had seen their daft game. They’d only
