“Oops!” Billie said to herself. “Oh, well.

            This will do for now I suppose.”


               She looked around under the desk

            counter for something to do, but there


            wasn’t really anything interesting. So she

            settled down in the surprisingly comfy chair.


            The sun shone through the large glass

            doors and windows making the reception


            area very warm and cosy. Billie could still

            hear all the commotion going on along the


            upstairs corridor. It didn’t sound as though

            anyone had got that machine under control

            yet. She thought about turning the volume


            down on her hearing aid. Then she would

            be able to pretend the noise wasn’t there.
