            even off. Sometimes it was a good trick to


            play on people. But now she was older

            Billie didn’t do things like that anymore.


               Billie’s phone beeped for the second time

            that morning. This time it was a text from


            Tom.

               “Mum’s had to change a tyre on the car


            so will be leaving later now. Does that

            mean you could come too?” it said.


               Billie thought for a moment. But, no.

            Sadly she still wouldn’t be able to go.

               “Don’t think so,” she texted back.


               Poor Billie. “It’s just not fair,” she said to

            herself. She decided she would ring Poppy.


               “Hi, Poppy!”
