Chapter One
No school!
Billie Bizkit was having the worst morning
of her life. Even though there was no school
that day, Billie had to get up at seven
o’clock.
“Are you ready yet?” Billie’s mum yelled
outside the bedroom door.
Billie groaned and pulled herself slowly
upright. It was so warm and cosy under the
duvet. Did she really have to get up so
early? It wasn’t fair. She thought of her
friends in the Chicken Street Gang. None of
them had to get up this early.
“I bet they’re all having a lie in,” she said
out loud.
