to the door. Mr Bizkit, Billie’s dad, was just
coming out of the bathroom. He was
singing a song called ‘Oh what a wonderful
morning!’ very loudly. It’s quite a famous
song. You might have heard it. This was Mr
Bizkit’s morning shower song, which meant
that he sang it every morning as he took his
shower. He also sang it every morning as
he brushed his teeth. With the toothbrush
and foaming paste in his mouth it didn’t
sound quite right of course – more like ‘Er
ot er unnervul erning’, or something like
that.
Ten minutes later Billie was in her best
jeans (the ones with the yellow stars down
the sides of one leg) and her favourite blue
