Then the whole house shook as she

            slammed the bathroom door.


               Jake and I crept quietly back into my

            room.


               “It actually happened!” I said staring back

            at the computer.


               Jake was shaking his head. This was just

            too much to take in.


               “The clock,” he said slowly. “The clock

            before the start of the game said ten to six.


            What's the time now?”

               I looked at my watch. It was five past six.

            It would have taken Clara only five minutes


            to run home from the street where the

            accident had happened. That meant the


            accident had happened at six o’clock.
