Empty except for... Chloe Roberts. Chloe
Roberts was in the year above us. She was
Clara’s best friend’s younger sister. What
was she doing in my classroom?
“She’s going over to the lunch boxes,”
Jake said. “What is she doing that for? And
what’s that in her hand?”
Puzzled, we watched carefully as Chloe
searched through the piles of lunch boxes
until she pulled one out and opened it...
“That’s my lunch box!” I said.
She was opening it and taking out the
sandwiches.
“Those are my sandwiches!”
At this point Chloe pulled the lid off a
small plastic box. She pulled out something
