“Of course!” I said.
I wheeled myself over to my bed and pulled myself on
to the mattress and pulled a sheet over myself. Josh
stayed in the doorway.The Alien appeared.
“Hi, Josh!” she said.
“Hi, Arabella!” said Josh.
“What are you doing?” asked The Alien .
“Nothing much,” Josh said. “Well, I don’t really feel
like doing much.”
“Where am I sleeping?” asked the Alien.
“In here with Jessie,” said Josh.
“Has she still got all that clutter in the wardrobe?”
Who did she think she was? I felt like telling her to go
and sleep somewhere else if she didn’t like my room - like
the garden shed or something. But I made a groaning
sound instead. I had to keep to the plan.
“I’m surprised your mum is letting you stay,” Josh
whispered.
The Alien frowned.
