Mum made mugs of coffee for Auntie Jill and herself
in the kitchen. We could hear them talking.
“Arabella won three swimming races at school last
week, didn’t you Arabella?” said Auntie Jill.
“Yes,” said Arabella.
“What a clever girl you are!” said Mum.
“I got distinction again in dance and drama,” Arabella
added.
“And don’t forget to tell Jessie about your violin
exam,” said Auntie Jill.
Josh and I sniggered.
“Don’t tell me,” I whispered.” She’s won another
medal for that as well.”
In the kitchen Mum was pouring the milk in to the
coffee.
“I’m sure Jessie and Josh would love to hear all about
your music,” said Mum. “Why don’t you go and find them.”
“Quick!” Josh whispered. “She’s coming. Now, have
you remembered everything.”
