game! How crazy did that sound? Who would

believe it? It was real enough though. But Jay

knew he had to get out of it – back to the real

world.

He pushed the branches aside so he could

step through. Shivering, he wondered how

such a hot day could have turned into such a

cold night. The further away from the Pioneers

he got, the faster he went until he was almost

running and jumping over the forest floor. He

knew what he was doing. Soon he would be

back on the path again. Then it would be a

straight run back to where he had entered the

game. Jay had decided that the way out would

be the same place as the way in. If he just ran

towards it then hopefully he would find

himself falling back into the real world.
