this point it all went wrong. It wasn’t fair. He

            thought he was doing everything right, but at

            the end of level one the Groundlings always

            got them. Why? Why did the stupid game

            always end up doing this to him? What was he

            to do?

               He sighed and thumped the enter key.

               “I quit!” he shouted at it.

               He pressed the eject button on the computer

            and snatched out the cd.

               The screen flashed up new words telling

            him he needed to close down the game

            properly.

               “Oh, shut up!” muttered Jay. He tossed the

            cd across his bedroom at the waste paper

            basket. It missed and dropped behind. Jay

            didn’t care. It was out of sight. Gone. He would

            find a new game - one that would let him win,
