“We’re going to need a step ladder to get

those pancakes off the ceiling!” one of them

was saying.

“Should they be that burnt colour?” said

another.

The cookery teacher, Mrs Steam, went

round all the old people’s homes doing Fun

Cooking Activities. She was looking very

flustered.

“Well, I’ve never had anyone toss

pancakes and get them stuck on the ceiling

before,” she sighed.

“First time for everything!” Lucy

whispered as they shut the door and

continued the search.
