“The Guide knows they haven’t got much

water now,” Abby said. “So it will probably let

them find some.”

“If you’re wrong you’ll lose,” Jay said.

“Let’s risk it!” said Abby.

At least Abby’s version of the game was

different. But would it get them past level one?

There would be no chance of finding out that

day though. There was a sudden pop and the

screen went black.

“Oh no! What’s happened? I never touched

the control key that time,” said Abby.

Jay stepped across to the light switch and

flicked it on and off a few times. Nothing

happened.

“Power’s off!” they both said at the same

time.
