“That message at the start though...”
“The Guide?”
“Yes. It said to stay on the path. I’m going to
try that. They can ignore the chimp swiping
their water supply. They’ve still got another
container and small bottles. Perhaps that will
be enough.”
Jay wasn’t sure.
“It’s too risky.”
“It might be even more risky not to follow
The Guide,” said Abby. “They might find a
new water supply – a stream or something.
They’ll be able to refill their small bottles that
way. Yes, I’ll take a chance on that.”
Jay didn’t like the idea of taking a chance
with anything. He liked to feel sure about
things.
