his computer.

Jay plopped himself down on his desk chair.

The screen was already on. It must have

switched itself back on after the power cut.

There was one of those daft messages on the

screen:

A FATAL EXCEPTION HAS OCCURED

It said something about the computer not

having been switched off properly. What had

happened? The Journey cd was still in the cd

drive. Jay pressed the ENTER key. The

computer buzzed and the screen flickered. He

wasn’t that interested in playing. But maybe

he could find a Tom lookalike and let the

Groundlings capture him.

When the game loaded the clock in the

corner of the screen said three thirty. The
