Tom held his nose. It was difficult not to
laugh.
“I’m afraid this room does have a very
odd smell,” Gran explained.
“It’s terrible,” Mr Snarling said holding his
breath. “I won’t want to spend much time in
here I don’t think.”
“I don’t blame you,” said Billie, turning
blue from lack of breathing. “Let’s go
somewhere else.”
Next up were the bedrooms. Mr Snarling
headed for the lift, but Gran stopped him.
“Not a good idea!” she warned. “Lifts can
break down at a moment’s notice. We could
be stuck in there for hours.”
