               “It’s okay!” I said slowly. I’d made a


            decision, but I wouldn’t tell Jake yet. Not

            until it was too late. I’d had enough of


            seeing the future, trying to trick it and

            change it and messing it up. If that weird cd


            was back in a skip then it could stay there.

            If someone else found it then fine – let them


            have a go.

               I took the new game out of the case (it

            looked normal). A normal game! Phew!


            What a relief!

               The worst thing about having a birthday


            on a school day was having to go to school.
