This sounded like a good idea. The two of

            us rushed upstairs and burst into my room.


            Jake stopped and stared in astonishment at

            my new computer.


               “It’s not new, really,” I grinned. “But it’s

            good for a second hand one!”


               Mum was shouting up the stairs.

               “Don’t get too carried away. You need to


            leave for school in fifteen minutes.”

               Jake had started rummaging around in


            my computer game collection.

               “What’s up?”

               “Where is it? The cd. You know,  the cd.


            Did you put it somewhere safe?”

               I was having a horrible thought. I’d left the


            cd in its usual safe place – inside the
