“Ben! Where are you? I thought you were in the
study!” His mum’s voice sounded a thousand miles away.
What was she talking about? Suddenly Ben realised he
was holding something. He looked down. It was a
splodging weapon just like the one his soldier had been
using in the game.
A gruesome roar made Ben yell in fright.
“What’s that?” Ben screeched.
Then he saw it. It was one of the huge blue creatures.
It was just like the ones in the game.
Ben looked around him.
“I’m in the game!”
Ben pointed the weapon at the monster and fired. A
yellow splodge splattered over the creature.
“Got it!”
Uncle Jim had been right. Somehow Creature Carnage
had got him hooked and now he was right in it.
“Ben! Stop messing about. Where are you?” It was
Dad’s voice this time.
