felt normal. The yellow stuff had disappeared along with
the rest of the game. Thank goodness!
“Oh...er...well...” Ben couldn’t think what to say.
Mum entered the room.
“Come on, Ben!” she said. “I might have guessed
we’d find you in here! We’re ready to go now. Dad is
waiting in the car. Come on!”
Ben didn’t need telling twice. He was glad to get away.
He almost ran out to the car. Uncle Jim laughed.
“Looking forward to getting back to some computer
games, Ben?” he said.
But Ben didn’t answer. He had a funny feeling inside.
On the drive home he said something he had never said
before. They were just passing the big park - the one with
the adventure playground and the football pitch.
“Dad! Can we stop at the park?”
Dad slowed down.
“Whatever for, Ben?” said Dad. “Don’t you want to get
home to your monster games?”
