gave Gary a sharp shove in the chest
as he spoke. Gary wobbled.
Josh placed his feet back on the
pedals.
“Come on, let’s go!” he said to
Gary.
But Specks blocked the way. Al, who
had been looking a bit uncertain,
suddenly had a question.
“How’s everything going at the house
of rejects?”
“Yeah, Gary!” Specks joined in.
“Got any little reject friends there yet?”
Gary had no intention of
answering. But Josh did.
“Oh, shut up!” he said. “Come
on, Gary, let’s go.”
