“It’s Flick,” said Ella. “Flick has gone again.

This time she isn’t anywhere.”

So that was it? Where was she hiding this

time? Jay sighed. Why couldn’t people take

more care of their kids? Jay decided to help

search - she was bound to be somewhere

nearby. Jay got to his feet. He walked

forwards normally without even thinking about

it. Jay suddenly realised he hadn’t done his

Walking Thing for ages. Well, maybe he didn’t

need to do the Walking Thing anymore then.

“We should look by the spring,” someone

suggested.

Rosie and Zak rushed into the trees. Ella

was annoyed. She looked at Jay in dismay.

“I just don’t believe it!” she shouted and

stormed after them. Jay tried to keep up with
