“It’s not very helpful is it?” he murmured.
“How are we supposed to work out what to do
now? It’s more like a puzzle than a direction.”
Jay agreed. Why didn’t people and
messages just say what they meant?
“I think it’s telling us to decide for
ourselves,” said Ella.
Lewis nodded.
“I agree,” he said. “Sometimes The Guide
knows we can make our own decision and
work out what’s best for ourselves.”
Jay still didn’t really like the sound of that.
Jay still preferred rules so that you knew what
to do. Working things out for yourself could
be difficult.
“Over here!” Binny called out to the others.
He had walked on a bit. “The path divides into
