They’ve never stayed and faced them. Can’t
blame them. They’re terrifying. But …well,
what Lewis did. He’s proved that we, I mean
they, could stand up to them if they wanted
to.”
“Hmm,” said Abby. “But I’ve just had a
thought!”
“What?” said Jay.
“Well, now we’ve got all this inside
information we’ll easily get this game sorted
when we get back to the real world.”
Jay nodded. “When we get back to the real
world” – the words went round and round in
his head. As long as it wasn’t “if” they ever
got back.
