“The storm is heading back towards the

            camp,” Abby shouted above the wind.

               “This is bad,” Jay cried. “There’s nowhere

            to shelter.”

                The howl of the wind was getting louder.

            The sand was blowing thick and fast. They

            could no longer tell if they were still on the

            path. The friends struggled on together. If only

            they’d brought the blankets or something to

            cover their faces. It was frightening. Jay had

            read about sandstorms in books. He’d seen a

            film once where some people had got buried

            alive in a desert storm. What if he and Abby

            got buried alive in this storm? Being stuck in a

            computer game was bad enough, but dying in

            one was terrifying.
