EXIT GAME

At first they just wobbled, but then they

began circling around each other faster and

faster until Jay felt dizzy watching them.

Scrambling to his feet he reached forward

and managed to grab hold of Abby’s arm.

“I can’t go without you!” he cried. “I can’t go

without you!”

Abby was crying.

“Just go! Just go!” she choked. “You’ll

think of something! It will be okay!”

The Groundling swung its free arm in Jay’s

direction and for a second Jay found himself

staring straight into the eyes of the monster.

Then the whack from its arm sent him

tumbling backwards into the swirling tunnel.
