“Jay! Abby!” someone was yelling. For a

second Jay thought he saw Binny staggering

through the storm towards them. Binny must

have woken, realised they were missing and

gone to look for them. Then, he felt as though

something was lifting him upwards from the

ground. Higher and higher he went until the

path and the nightmare was far below him.

Swirls of blue and bright yellow whooshed

around him. He couldn’t see Abby or the

Groundling anymore. He was being pulled up,

upwards into the sky. Pop! He was through

the sky and then there was darkness and a

strange whirring sound. Jay looked down, but

couldn’t see his feet. All he could see was a

whirling mass of colour below and darkness

all around. His heart beat very fast. It was

happening again. The same thing that had
