that. Jay didn’t remember his Mum anymore.

            She had died of an illness when he was two.

            Since then it had just been Jay and his dad.



               An hour later, Jay was sitting nervously at a

            large white topped table in a strange

            classroom with Abby and two other kids he

            had never met in his life.

               The teacher walked in. She was called Miss

            Field. Jay thought she didn’t look like a

            teacher. With her long dark hair and bright

            smiley face, she looked more like some kid’s

            big sister. She introduced Jay to the class.

               “It’s Jay’s first day today,” she smiled.

            “Abby already knows Jay and I’m sure he’ll

            soon make plenty of other friends too. You’ll

            soon feel at home, Jay.”
