When it did Jay wanted to get out of there
as fast as possible. He had a bit of trouble
getting to his coat in the crowded cloakroom.
By the time he had got there he was last in
and there was barely room to move. Jay
accidentally trod on a dropped coat. It was
already well trampled and Jay didn’t see it
either.
“Oi! Get off that!” Someone was yanking it
from under his feet.
“I didn’t see it. I’m just trying to get to my
peg,” Jay explained.
The boy doing the shouting was called Tom
and he tugged hard at the coat. Before Jay
could step off it he lost his balance. He
toppled sideways and grabbed at whoever
was nearest. It was the boy and they both fell
on to one of the benches that lined the walls
