“On your own?” said Binny.

               “That’s terrible,” said Ella. “You poor lad.

            What happened?”

               Jay huffed.

               “The game kept crashing...I mean I kept

            crashing er into things.”  He touched his sore

            head. “Like pegs er I mean trees!”

               Jay knew he wasn’t making any sense. It

            was just that he didn’t know what to say. The

            Pioneers were still staring at him. Ella

            beckoned to them to gather around her in a

            group. Then there was a lot of whispering. The

            lad who hadn’t spoken yet stood apart from

            the others a bit. He didn’t seem interested in

            the strange boy they had found. Jay

            recognised him. It was Zak.

               “Perhaps the Groundlings got his parents,”

            Jay heard someone say. “Maybe they got the
