was narrow and to keep up with them I
practically had to run in the road.

Clara said. “There aren’t any lorries.”
“But you never know when one might
come along,” I insisted. “You might fall off
the pavement and break your ankle or
something and then you wouldn’t be able to

sister off and come and watch the
