“Is someone ill?” shouted Mrs Blast. She
was pointing at a big red and white sign that
Poppy’s mum had made and put by the
front gate. It said.
BE QUIET. PERSON SLEEPING.
No!” whispered Poppy. “It’s…..”
But Mrs Blast wasn’t listening.
“I thought so!” she shouted. “It’s your poor
mother, Poppy, isn’t it? I thought she was
looking pale and worn out the last time I
saw her. What she needs is some of my
relaxing herbal tea. I’ll bring some over
sometime.”
