lived next door to Josh. Josh was his
best friend from school.
Gary was sad that his dad was ill
again. It wasn’t the sort of illness you
could see, like having flu or red spots
of something - so lots of people didn’t
really understand. People who
suffered from a mental illness like his
Dad had an illness that was kind of
inside their brain. It didn’t matter
where an illness was – whether it was
a mental illness and inside your brain
or a physical illness or disability like
having a broken leg. It could still be
treated. You could still get better. It
seemed obvious to Gary.
