“Where do you think you’re going?”
Jay would have leapt to his feet in terror, but
whoever it was had hold of him and was
gripping tight. Instead he tried screaming in
panic, but when he opened his mouth no
sound came out. He was trapped - unable to
run, unable to scream. Had he been caught by
a Groundling? Was he about to be captured
and carted off to a dark, damp underground
place where he would be trapped forever? The
thought gave Jay a sudden surge of strength.
He managed to push at whoever was holding
him and...
“Binny!”
“Yes. Yes. It’s okay. It’s only me. What are
you doing wandering off on your own? ”
