Jay checked inside the rucksack the

Pioneers had given him earlier. His own water

bottle was still full. However, he bent and

scooped a handful of the refreshing water and

gulped it down. Then he took another handful

and splashed it over his face. He wondered

what the time was. He hadn’t been in the game

very long, but he was already feeling hot and

thirsty.

Jay didn’t usually wonder what other people

might be thinking. But right now he wondered

what Dad or Abby were thinking. Wouldn’t

they wonder where he had gone? What would

they do?

Fantastic as it was to be inside his computer

game, Jay knew he needed to get back to the
