right now because they’d soon find
out about Mum if I did. As soon as
they found out they wouldn’t want to
know me anyway. I don’t want that. I
don’t want people to make me feel
different.
I hope Mum doesn’t have to stay in
hospital too long. Let me think, the
holidays are six weeks. That means
six weeks until the new school year.
She’s got to be better by then. Six
weeks of not seeing anyone I might
just about survive, even though that’s
bad enough.
