He could hardly control the vehicle as
it swerved into the next road. Then
Gary saw the sign. Oh no! Not that!
“Stop the car!” His voice was
screaming. “Stop the car!”
His heart was banging so hard
that it hurt his chest. But Al wouldn’t
be told.
“In a minute Reject Boy!” He
shouted above the weird straining
noise that the engine was making. Al
was always calling him that. Gary
hated it. “First a handbrake turn at the
river!”
What did that mean? What did
that mean?
“Go for it, Al! Go for it!”
encouraged Specks.
