next to Specks. Gary felt someone

grabbing his left elbow. Josh was

crouched on the floor. His arms had

gone around the front passenger seat,

looking for something to grip.

“Can’t you stop now?” Specks

mimicked. He squeaked the words

out, laughing. Then he urged Al on.

“Go on, Al! Go faster!”

Specks smacked his hands

down on the plush red rear seat. Mud

and grime from his boots covered the

carpet in front of him. He and the

gang had got into junked out relics

from the estate before, but never

anything like this. Alone and unlocked
