seen a chance to escape and had got away. He

had been hiding and making his way out of the

tunnels for two days.

Binny told Lewis about Flick and how they

needed to rescue her. Lewis said he could

help. Of course, he knew exactly where they

would have taken Flick. He could show them

and, because the Groundlings thought he was

one of them now, he could get her away from

them.

So the four of them set off deeper into the

tunnels.

With Lewis as their guide they were able to

go much faster. He knew the tunnels well. He

knew which were the safest ways to go.

“Aren’t you scared about coming back down

here,” Jay said reaching back to get the water
