They trekked on. Soon there were signs that

            they were approaching the prisoner holding

            station. Lewis showed them a good place to

            hide while he came up with a plan. Large

            boulders around the entrance to the prisoner

            holding station meant they could wait and

            watch without being seen.

               The tunnel before them widened into a dark

            room sized area. The only light came from a

            small flame burning torch. They could barely

            see two Groundlings crouched in front of a

            kind of caged-off cave. They were playing a

            game on the ground with stones and sticks.

               “They would have brought your group

            somewhere like this, Jay,” Ella whispered.

            “I’m sorry it’s far too late for us to try to

            rescue any of them.”
