sounded like a real prisoner.

The Groundlings jumped into action as they

saw Lewis coming towards them.

“Why are you on your own?” The larger one

growled.

“Er...I got left behind,” Lewis replied. “But

this one was no trouble. Let’s open the cage

and toss him in with the girl.”

The Groundlings were even bigger and

uglier close up than Jay could ever have

imagined. Lewis hadn’t wound the cords that

tightly, but Jay could imagine how terrifying it

must be to have been really captured. As the

second of the Groundlings unlocked the cage

door - leaving the key in the lock - he hoped

Ella and Binny were ready for stage two of the

plan.
