Grandad’s latest invention. It was amazing! Fantastic! Alfie had
never seen anything like it.
“What is it?”
Grandad was carefully tightening a few last screws.
“It’s a Remote Controlled Room Tidier!” he said.
“Wow!”
“Possibly the first in the world!”
“Wow!”
“It can be used in any room in the house!”
“Cool!”
“Want to see it in action?”
Alfie nodded.
Grandad picked up a newspaper and placed it next to his Room
Robot. Alfie stared in amazement at Grandad’s brightly coloured
invention. It had a red cylinder shaped body with a flat tray as a hat
on its head. Its blue bendy arms and legs moved smoothly as
Grandad twiddled the remote control. One arm reached for the
newspaper. It placed it on its flat top. The arm went down. Grandad
made the robot move forwards and then to the left. He pressed a red
button on the control and the top of the robot suddenly whirred and
