They walked down the stairs to the back yard together.
“Tell you what,” said Grandad. “After school you can be the first
to see my next invention. How about that?”
“Wow!” Alfie couldn’t believe it. “Brilliant! Thanks Grandad!”
He couldn’t wait. Somehow Alfie just knew that Grandad’s next
invention was going to be something fantastic! How was he going to
get through a whole day at school before he found out?
