catapulted the newspaper across the workshop. It landed neatly in



        the waste paper bin by the door.



             “Wow! It really works, Grandad!”


             Grandad looked pleased. “Of course it works! Want to have a



        go?”


             Alfie certainly did. The two of them spent the next hour tidying



        the workshop. Alfie liked shooting objects across the room back on


        to shelves or into boxes. Breakable things got carried carefully



        across the room by the robot’s arms and placed gently down. You



        needed to press the blue button for that. In no time at all Grandad’s


        workshop was looking more organised than it had ever done before.



        It was fantastic! Everyone at school was going to love it.



             Alfie told Grandad about Miss May’s invitation and gave him the


        letter.



             “Will you take the robot?” he asked.


             “I don’t see why not!” said Grandad. “We could walk it to school.



        Maybe get it to do a bit of tidying up in your classroom.”


             Grandad moved the robot in towards a mug of cold coffee. It



        carried the cup across the workshop. Then, to their horror, it did



        something it hadn’t done before. The arm jerked and started
